bonjour ~

Hey there! I just changed my blogskin :) It's a little user-unfriendly because you can't navigate my past posts by headings or hashtags. So i'm gonna update the codings, stay tuned! (The font's kinda hard to read too..other than these 3 peeves, i'm quite satisfied) Follow me on the links below! :) 29/4/2015.

Started this blog during the last few weeks of SEM1(AY2014/15) cos' i regained interest in blogging. I blog about anything - news, social issues, music - but mostly about my university life :) Hope my posts will help you to make better life (and module) choices! Currently a Sociology Major. Still fresh. xD

Got scammed WTS
written on Thursday, 6 November 2014 @ 23:59 ✈

SCAM ALERT:

Person who sent me the email was Willjude Vimalraj S/O R S <a0096539@nus.edu.sg> , and i kinda suspected he got hacked as well. The scammer probably used his email because it's under NUS domain so students would get tricked.

Luckily i changed my NUS Password after a sudden realisation after submitting my details. Website URL looked really ambiguous.

It was in my junk email LOL (why did i even click on this)

For those who wish to change their passwords, the link is available at the NUS email front page, or just click here:

Contents of email:

Dear  User,

Your webmail quota has exceeded the set quota which is 50MB. you are currently running on 1.3GB. To re-activate and increase your webmail quota please verify and update your webmail Account In order re-activate and increase your webmail quota CLICK HERE:

Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your webmail account. You may not be able to send or receive new mail until you re-validate your mailbox.

Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Basically they'll get your NUS password and details and probably leech the resources. Or screw up your assignments. And cheat more people. ):

And btw, NUS has upgraded its mailbox capacity to 50 GB so no worries of exceeding and not being able to receive incoming emails..

Last i checked:

Anyway, there's a policy in NUS where students have to change their passwords every once in a while. And NUS passwords require a high degree of complexity. Mix of symbols, CAPS, numbers are required. To prevent such stuff from happening.

Becareful guys!!
