Started this blog during the last few weeks of SEM1(AY2014/15) cos' i regained interest in blogging. Recently i'm hooked onto this ongoing Korean drama series: Pinnochio
(Don't worry there are no spoilers, its such an awesome drama-i won't spoil it for you)
It talks about Reporters' ethics- Are they going for Truth or Impact? The manipulation of media by the reporters have caused the main protagonist's family to fall apart, causing him to loathe reporters, but he eventually becomes one to exact revenge on the reporter who destroyed his family.
A Pinnochio is someone who hiccups when they lie, and therefore is perceived as someone who cannot lie and tells only the truth. It was really well portrayed in this drama, drawing parallels to the reporter. People believe pinnochios because they speak only the truth. Similarly, people believe in reporters because we trust that they report the truth, confirming the details, without exaggeration or forgery.
Pinocchio and reporters should’ve known that people always believe their words, therefore they should have known that their words are scarier than any other person’s words. They should have been cautious, more cautious!” -Choi Dal Po-
The plot is awesome and unpredictable, keeps you on your toes as you see how fate unfolds for the 2 star crossed lovers, and the impact and power of the media-making a hero a murderer, and making murderer a hero.

Sometimes I wonder how people see me and what they think of me. It scares me a bit, honestly. I am sure though, that what they think of me,
what they think my life is, is a complete misperception. I have always tried to show myself as a carefree person, as someone who wont get bothered
because of public judgements. I am sure my friend and family think there is nothing going wrong in my life, that I do not worry enough, that
I am always happy. And I am sure they probably somewhat hate me for it because, lets admit it, there is nothing worse than seeing someone
who is life seems so perfect while yours is a complete mess. Truth is, I have become an expert at pretending. I think we are all experts
